H.E Anderson Clocks 5 Years as Sierra Leone High Commissioner in Ghana

Her Excellency Francess Virginia Anderson PhD has on the 16^th of October 2023 clocked 5 years in office as the country’s High Commissioner to Ghana.

Throughout the last five years, High Commissioner Anderson has played an exemplary leadership role in the diplomatic arena in Ghana while remaining steadfast in promoting the agenda of her boss, the President centered on displaying Sierra Leone positively to the world.

Among other crucial responsibilities, Dr. Anderson has been interfacing and discussing issues having to do with a wide range of mutual interest concerns, including security, treaty negotiations, regional trade among others.

For H.E. Anderson, It has been an all-round learning and implementation experience going from the opportunity to represent her country in three ECOWAS countries and being present in mediation concerning critical issues in the region. Also, the opportunity to constantly interact with 18 other diplomats’ resident in Ghana but with concurrent accreditation to Sierra Leone has also helped illuminate the case of Sierra Leone in foreign capitals where they previously knew little about the country.

 

In 2019, High Commissioner Dr.  Anderson held a successful investment seminar, the result of which is still yielding fruits including a continuous up scaling of Sierra Leone’s activities as well as opening up participation in activities in the host country, Ghana.

As a wife, mother and a diplomat High Commissioner Anderson is of a strong belief in God as according to her, it is her complete dependence on him for each day, and perfecting the art of the right timing is what sees her through always.

 

Commenting on her relationship with her Staff, she said she continues to see everyone as important members of a team while she does her best in ensuring the President’s agenda or goals are achieved, though it is always impossible to please everyone.

H.E. Francess Virginia Anderson within these five years, as a diplomat representing Sierra Leone, has maintained a very cordial and professional relationship with colleague Head of Missions in Accra, Ghana representing different nations.

She served as their Financial Secretary at the African Group of Ambassadors for the years 2019-2022.

To take Sierra Leone’s activities to another level in Ghana even more in the coming years, H.E. Francess Virginia Anderson has vowed to work diligently with the team at Sierra Leone High Commission in Accra and partners in getting enormous support to boost President Bio’s BIG FIVE AGENDA.
