In commemoration of its Customer Service Week… NASSIT Honors Its Customers

In a bid to observe the Customer Service Week, National Social Security Insurance Trust (NASSIT) has on Monday 14th October 2024, launched a week celebration in honor of its customers.

The auspicious event, was chaired by the General Manager for Public Affairs and Events, Mr. Osman Koroma, in his opening remarks, stated the essence of the gathering. In his submission, he said that the motive of the gathering is to launch the NASSIT customer service week with the theme: “Above and Beyond.”

The chairman for the occasion, Mr. Koroma said that the gathering sought to appreciate all customers for trusting and relying on NASSIT for their social security. He went on to say that every year, NASSIT as an institution deems it fit to commemorate all customers for depending on the reliable security of the institution. Adding to his statement, Mr. Koroma said that every year in the month of October, it is the culture of NASSIT to celebrate its customers all over the world. Stating the significance of the customer service week, the chairman for the session, Mr. Koroma said that the customer service week is an international celebration of the importance of customer service and of the people who serve and support customers on a daily basis. Emphasizing on the relevance of the theme “ABOVE and BEYOND”, Mr. Koroma said that the theme is a powerful message that seeks to inspire hope and trust in the minds of both internal and external customers. As an institution, he said that NASSIT would always seek to maintain and protect the social security of their customers.

The Head of Customer Service Sierra Leone Commercial Bank (SLCB), Madam Vera Nnanna Orji, thank NASSIT for celebrating their customers around the world. She went on to say that it is indeed imperative to celebrate customers. Supporting her claim, she said that without customers there would be no organizations or institutions. Additionally, she said that customers are the face of every institution and as such they should be offered valuable and enjoyable services. Concluding with her brief statement, she encouraged the various managers of NASSIT to treat their internal customers well in order to be able to give valuable services to their external customers.

Stating her succinct statement, Pensioner Retired Captain Mafulay Tity Bangura, one of the first female soldiers recruited to the RSLAF on the 15th of June 1979, applauded NASSIT for their valuable service to customers around the world. Seeking the permission of the Director General of NASSIT to talk briefly about the benefit of NASSIT, she told the gathering that NASSIT treats their customers with absolute respect and dignity, ensuring that their social security is maintained and protected. Adding to the benefit pensioners have enjoyed, she said that pensioners have been treated with dignity and respect, and that their pensions come in fairly. She concluded by appreciating former president Ahmed Tejan Kabba for being the pioneer of the NASSIT Social Scheme.

The Director General for NASSIT, Mr. Mohamed Daboh, in his brief keynote address, thank all and sundry for deeming it fit to grace the customer service launching. Assuring valuable services to customers, Director Daboh assured customers that NASSIT would remain committed and dedicated to maintaining and protecting the social securities of their customers. He went on to assure customers that the institution would remain humble to ensure that every customer both internal and external get valuable services from the institution. Adding to his submission, he said that the institution has received so many accolades from customers both home and abroad that NASSIT cares. Concluding with his keynote speech, he applauded all staffs at NASSIT for their relentless effort in rendering pleasant and valuable services to their customers.
