Arguable, based on his performance, His Excellency President Julius Maada Bio has assigned more tasks to Dr. Kandeh K. Yumkella as Chair of the Energy Governance Coordination Group (EGCG).
Many people have described the additional task placed on Dr. Kandeh K. Yumkella in the energy sector as a challenge that will make or break his political career in the country.
The Energy Governance Coordination Group is an initiative to ensure coherence and effective coordination within the Ministry of Energy.
Quite recently, the energy sector has faced lots of challenges in terms of adequately serving the people of Sierra Leone. Many communities within Freetown and beyond have resorted to using solar energy as a main source of electricity in their offices, homes and business places but much is expected of KKY to change the narratives and save the energy sector from the recent energy conundrums.
