Ecobank Customers Win Brand-new Suzuki Car

One of the most reliable and trusted banks in Sierra Leone, ECOBANK the Pan-African Bank, has on Tuesday 31st October 2023, dropped the curtains on their “Save and Win Promotion Draw with a total of seventeen customers that win attractive prizes.

The event took place at the Ecobank Office at Lightfoot Boston Street in Freetown.

The ‘Save and Win Promotion Draw’ is geared towards encouraging customers of Ecobank to adopt the saving culture and to give back to their loyal customers that have been saving with them over the years.

The threshold for customers to qualify for the grand draw, is to save a minimum of Nle.5000, for other prizes, Nle.10000 for the Kekeh prize and Nle. 20000 and above in six months to win the grand prize Suzuki Car worth over $12000.

In the grand draw, the Executive Director of Ecobank cheerfully announced one Isatu Turay, as the winner for the brand-new Suzuki Car and she has saved a minimum of Nle. 20,000 and above in the last six (6) months.

During the draw, seven (7) lucky winners that have been saving Nle. 5000 and above in six (6) months, claimed the prize for the Oraimo Bluetooth speakers

The second draw saw three lucky winners who also have been saving Nle. 5000 and above in the last six (6) months, won three ‘Selfie Sticks’.

The third (3) draw saw five (5) lucky winners take home Samsung smartphones, and they have saved up to Nle.10000 in the last six (6) months.

The fourth draw which led the build-up to the final draw spectacularly announced one Mohamed Salieu Barrie, as the winner of the brand-new tricycle (Kekeh) draw – whom in the last six months have saved a minimum of Nle. 10,000 and above.

In his statement, the Executive Director for Ecobank, Winston Williams – acknowledged the effort and commitment of all customers in making sure that they uphold the “saving culture”.

He added that Ecobank believes in the culture of saving, and that is why they launched the “save and win promotion’ campaign in October 2022, so that they can encourage customers and Sierra Leoneans in particular to make saving a habit. He also said that they have had two draws since they launched the campaign and this is the final draw.

He underscored that they have had over 30 winners in the draw so far since its inception, which has helped to change the lives of those customers.

Winston Williams affirmed that they owe it to their loyal customers that have been saving and he also encouraged Sierra Leoneans to bank and save with them and in turn they will extend the loyalty to them in the form of the draw.

“Things are hard and that is why it is important to save for the future,” he said. He concluded that even if one is unfortunate to win a prize or you are yet to win, saving is a good thing and it is a culture that we as Sierra Leoneans must maintain. He thanked everyone for their loyal support and commitment in promoting Ecobank and financial inclusion.

The representative of Baker Tilly Audit firm, Steven Sandi in his statement acknowledged the gesture of Ecobank in promoting financial inclusion and also encouraging its esteemed customers to continue banking with Ecobank. He mentioned that as the leading audit firm in charge of verifying the data, they can confirm beyond all reasonable doubts that the data used for the draw is authentic.

Steven Sandi affirmed that Baker Tilly is an auditing firm that operates in over 100 countries over the world and they were in charge of auditing the previous draw and have also done the same on this year’s draw. He added that they analyzed the data used and they certified that the figures are credible.

Giving the closing remarks, Christian John of Ecobank mentioned that they promised customers that they will give back to them, emphasizing that it’s part of their Corporate Social Responsibility, but he also encouraged customers to engage and adopt the culture of saving. He acknowledged the effort of the entire staff of Ecobank and other partners for making the journey a success.
