Two Accused of Murder

Thirty- three years old Bankole Koroma a maisoner and forty-four years old Dora Hawa Kamara a trader have made their second appearance before Magistrate Sahr Kekura of Pademba Road Magistrate Court N.1 in Freetown, for murder.
The accused were arraigned before the court on one count charge of conspiracy to murder contrary to Section 4 of the offense against the Person Act 1861.
According to the charged sheet, on Thursday, 14th March 2024, at number 9 West Brook Street Freetown, conspired together with other persons unknown to commit a felony to wit murder.
In a bid to progress with the prosecution, Police Prosecutor inspector M.K Taylor led in witness No.2 Edward Conteh who identified himself as Inspector A.E Conteh attached at the CID headquarter, said he did recognize the complainant and both accused persons.
He added that on the 14th March 2024, he was on duty when a case of inquiry file of conspiracy to murder from Central Police Division for continuation of the investigation.
At this stage, the matter was adjourned but no bail was granted to both accused persons and were remanded to the male and female correctional centers at in Freetown.
The Matter was adjourned to the 22nd of July 2024, for further hearings.
