H.E Anderson Hosts High Commissioner Daniel Mahongo of Zambia
Sierra Leone High Commissioner in Accra, Ghana, Her Excellency Francess Virginia Anderson (PhD.), on Thursday 9 November hosted her colleague Head of Mission, H.E Daniel Mahongo of the Zambia High Commission in Accra, accredited to Sierra Leone.
Speaking during his courtesy visit on High Commissioner Anderson and the Chancery, H.E Daniel Mahongo appreciated the gesture of granting to meet with him amidst busy schedules and expressed the importance of both Sierra Leone and Zambia to continue working together for the furtherance of both countries.
He said having found out that H.E Francess Virginia Anderson has been on tour for about five years now, there is so much that he can learn from her during his own diplomatic tour that has begun and looks forward to a great working relationship.
Responding, High Commissioner Anderson expressed appreciation for the visit while assuring the Zambia High Commissioner of her mission’s support when there is a need.
She said both Sierra Leone and Zambia are sisters and so supporting each other for growth through diplomacy is significant, while highlighting President Julius Maada Bio’s great strides in governance and with a current cabinet of high percentage of women and young people.
With strengthened bilateral relations between Zambia and Sierra Leone dated way back in the 60’s, prospects of extreme growth in agricultural, tourism, and mining sectors are assured.
Present at the meeting were the First Secretaries at the Sierra Leone and Zambia High Commissions in Accra, Philip Brima Kabba, and Hellen Zlu Masongo, who spoke of Zambia’s hospitality and its 53 tourism management areas.
