Sia Fatu Kamara Died from Manual Strangulation – Pathologist Reveals…
By Fatima Sesay
In a shocking revelation that has captivated the courtroom and the public alike, government pathologist, Simeon Owizz Koroma, on Wednesday 4th February 2026, revealed that the late Sia Fatu Kamara died as a result of manual strangulation following a physical assault.
The atmosphere in the court reflected the gravity of this evidence, which significantly impacts the ongoing murder trial of Abdul Kpaka, the man accused of killing Kamara in August 2024.
Koroma explained that his conclusion was based on findings detailed in the official autopsy report, which confirmed that the cause of death was asphyxia, consistent with manual strangulation—an act that suggests deliberate violence.
Kpaka faces a two-count indictment: murder and perverting the course of justice. He has been held on remand since his arrest, with previous rulings denying him bail due to the seriousness of the charges.
The case has garnered intense public interest, heightened by harrowing testimony from the victim’s family and allegations of domestic abuse that emerged earlier in the trial.
The court has adjourned proceedings until February, 2026, as the investigation continues to unfold.
