Lansana Dumbuya Wins Hearts Of Party Supporters

On Saturday 14th January 2023 at a ceremony held at the Party’s Headquarters, Brookfields in Freetown,LansanaDumbuyaEsq, officially declared his intention to Vie for the position of National Secretary General(NSG) of the All People’s Congress (APC) party,

Former Minister of Youth Affairs, Honourable Alimamy Kamara chaired the event.

In his opening remarks, he pleaded with the audience to draw a line between Governance and party politics, and pleaded with the audience to endorse Lawyer LansanaDumbuyafor the position of National Secretary General. He added that the women are the ones that are suffering the most, and if they want to win the next Elections,they need to put the right people in the right places. He admonished them not to vote on sentiments.

Roland Kargbo a Representative from the North /West stated that he was there to talk for the North/West people and he is a sitting Member of Parliament. He says they have assessed the Candidates that are aspiring for the said position and Lawyer Lansana is the best. He is the Man that has worked hard for the party in and out of Court.

Comrade BalogunLogusKoroma stated they were there and left their busy schedules to be there to participate and recognize LansanaDumbuyaEsq to be the next National Secretary General. He went on to update the audience how they told LansanaDumbuyaEsq to step down twice for the said position. He revealed to the audience that his intention is not to declare for any Candidate, but his presence speaks volume. He went on to ask a question why other Aspirants have declared and not invited others? He added that if anyone wins the person will need the loser.  He appealed to LansanaDumbuyaEsq and AdyMacauleyEsq not to see each other as enemies. He complimented

Lawyer LansanaEsq for not putting money upfront, when it comes to Legal matters. He would first represent you and collected his money by part payment,adding that this is the kind of person they need. He pleaded to Comrades, sympathizers, Aspirants about what happened in 2018 not to happen in 2023, when the selected Flagbearer was abandoned by his Comrades because of disgruntlement. He observed that some faces of the other declarations will not attend the others declaration, thereby showing that there is disunity in the party, stressing that there should be no Team A and Team B.

Aziz from the Diaspora, says they are far away from home, but their minds are always at home. He said the reason why he is present is to give his support to his brother, a person that is always ready. He stressed that if the party does not have a serious Secretary General, there will be a big problem. He highlighted that they need a Secretary General that has a data base, and LansanaDumbuyaEsq is a perfect match in that.

Other Speakers made similar statements praising the work of LansanaDumbuya Esq.

Most importantly, the undisputed Lawyer and Aspirant vying for the position of National Secretary General LansanaDumbuyaEsqin his statement, complimented the former President and the Deputy Chairman and Leader MinkailuMansaray and former Vice President Victor Foh for their tireless work to the party. He said that before a person declares for the said position,he should talk about three things. Namely; Who are you?How far have you come with the party?What have you done for the party?

He disclosed that he joined the All People’s Congress (APC) in the 80’s as one of the young boys attached at the Youth League, APC Youth League Drama Group. He added that he has been working for the party since he became a Learned lawyer. Lawyer Lansana highlighted his viable and pragmatic programmes for the party when he is voted in for the position. He says “I want the Secretariat to be like the ANC in South Africa. If someone comes to the Secretariat the person will know that this is the APC Secretariat. How I want to do that? I want to start with the membership, because all those that worked from the position have tried, and it is a work that is not easy. But I want to make the system so much so that to bring the membership, Grassroots, closer to the heart of the party. I want to digitalize the Membership System. How? Through software, and I have already started that, and I have five people who are genius in software. They have produced a kind of system that digitalized the Membership, and as it is now, I have five different unique APC membership cards as samples,If you the Constituents have someone’s application, you do not need to accumulate it, once the person has submitted it to you, you click in to the necessary slide for constituency and send it to the District. The District will do its own the same day and send it to the Region, the Region will do its own and send it to the National Secretariat, as long as you are vetting on the system. In the space of 30 minutes or one hour, you will have plenty of applications in the system and that is how it is going to be. And every member will have not only a unique identification number, but also you will have a unique identification mark, even if your membership number is wiped out, we will be able to trace it through the identification mark in the system; that is how it is going to be. In the same software, when it is your birthday either Constituency, District, Region, it will pop up and the National Secretariat, and the individual will get a birthday card from the secretariat. He also made mention of the various developmental projects that the party will be engaged in to help its members progress.
