By Bonnke Fofanah
Thomas Korrow, a 38-year-old, appeared again before Magistrate Sahr Kekura at Pademba Road Magistrate Court No. 1 in Freetown. Korrow faces charges of conspiracy to defraud, contrary to law.
According to the case details, on April 1, 2024, at Siaka Stevens Street in Freetown, Korrow allegedly conspired with unknown accomplices to defraud Andrew George of one hundred and fifteen thousand Leones (NLe115,000).
Inspector M.K. Taylor, leading the prosecution, called witness Ibrahim Bah to testify. Bah confirmed he recognized Korrow, stating he became acquainted with him due to this case. He recalled the events of April 1, 2024, but appeared hesitant and struggled to testify clearly. The bench urged the police prosecutor to set a later date to adequately prepare the witness.
Korrow was unrepresented by legal counsel. His bail remains in place, and the case was adjourned to November 29, 2024.
