Sierra Leone is facing a critical stage where many people including prominent politician have raised critical issues bothering on the vital work of the Tripartite Committee.

The current situation of the country is tense and marked by the growing anger and frustration among the populace, fueled by perceived lack of transparency by both the ruling SLPP and the main opposition APC party, regarding the work of the Tripartite Committee.
The main mandate of the committee is to address issues relating to the 2023 elections and restore democracy in the country.
The main point of disagreement revolves around conflicting narratives being presented to the public by members of the ruling SLPP and members of main opposition APC party. Members and supporters of the ruling SLPP party hold firmly that the work of the Tripartite Committee focus solely on electoral reforms for future elections, while members and supporters of the main opposition APC party are hopeful that the committee will lead to a transfer of power to their presidential candidate, Dr. Samura Kamara, or a potentially a rerun of the disputed 2023 elections.
Both parties have been accused of not being forthcoming with information about the committee’s proceedings, leading to a significant trust deficit among the population. The failure to provide regular updates has allowed rumors and speculation to flourish, further exacerbating tensions.
