ADP Chairman Talks Tough
The chairman of the Alliance Democratic Party (ADP), Mr. Brima Togo has called on all Sierra Leoneans to remain law-abiding, respect the rule of law and refrain from anything that will derail the peace and tranquility of the country.
The astute ADP Leader and Chairman further added by appealing that members of political parties should also refrain from spreading hate speech and work towards fostering unity and peace in the country.
In his recent address to the nation, Chairman Togo emphasized the importance of upholding the rule of law and promoting unity and peace among all Sierra Leoneans.
“As a nation that has faced its fair share of challenges in the past, it is crucial for every citizen to play his/her part in building a better future for Sierra Leone. This means respecting the laws of the land, refraining from inciting violence or spreading hate speech, and working towards the common goal of progress and development,” he stated, stressing the significance of supporting democracy and the democratic process in Sierra Leone. He further clarified that democracy is the foundation for a free and fair society, where every citizen has the right to express their opinions within the law and participate in the decision-making process.
“By upholding the democratic values and principles, we can ensure that our voices are heard and that our rights are protected,” he admonished, adding that, supporting development within Sierra Leone requires a collective effort from all sectors of society. He continued by stating that, it is crucial that we work together to address the challenges facing our country, whether it be poverty, unemployment, or inadequate infrastructure. He emphasized that, by investing in education, healthcare, and sustainable economic growth, we can create a more prosperous and equitable society for all Sierra Leoneans.
Furthermore, Chairman Togo highlighted the importance of supporting development initiatives that will benefit all Sierra Leoneans. Whether it is through investing in infrastructure, education, healthcare, or job creation.
Chairman Togo also reminded all Sierra Leoneans that we have a collective responsibility to uphold the rule of law, promote unity and peace, support democracy and contribute to the development of our beloved country.
