Religious Leaders & Others to Meet & Address Political Tension
The Minister of Information and Civic Education, Chernor Bah, has announced that the Ministry, in partnership with the United Nations Foundation, will host a National Town Hall on Peace and National Cohesion that will attract high-level political leaders, traditional and religious leaders.
The Honorable Minister of Information and Civic Education, Chernor Bah further stated that the National Town Hall meeting will focus on: What can we do together to cultivate the culture and future of peace and cohesion in Sierra Leone?”. He added that, this is to commemorate Sierra Leone’s historic Presidency of the United Nations Security Council. He disclosed that the event is scheduled to take place on Tuesday 27th August 2024 at the New Brookfields Hotel.
“It will feature high-level political leaders, traditional and religious leaders, intergenerational conversations, as well as women and youth leaders,” he disclosed further. He continued by stating that, the National Town Hall meeting will help to foster peace in the country.
Minister Chernor Bah, underscored the government’s commitment to improving the lives of Sierra Leoneans through strategic partnerships and regulatory measures.
The Minister of Information and Civic Education, Chernor Bah made this disclosure on Tuesday 20th August 2024, at the weekly government press organized at the conference room of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, at Tower Hill in Freetown.
