Parliament Gives EDSA 14 Days Ultimatum

The Parliamentary Public Account Committee on Monday 22nd January 2023, has ordered the Electricity Distribution and Supply Authority (EDSA) to refund the sum of NLe48.450 as Corporate Social Responsibility to the Freetown Golf Club, within Fourteen days.

However, the CFO of EDSA, Mr. Sannoh has stated that EDSA has no arrears to the Freetown Gulf Club as Corporate Social Responsibility, adding that, the said money has been paid to the Freetown Gulf Club.

According to the Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Honorable Segpoh Thomas who doubles as the chairman of the committee has ordered EDSA to refund the sum of NLe48.450 within fourteen working days period into the consolidated funds.

The Deputy Leader of Government Business, Hon. Bashiru Silikie affirmed that these money are tax payers’ money and should be deducted from EDSA’s account.
