Prince of Wales (POW) School in Sierra Leone recently concluded its centenary celebration. The events culminated in a spectacular Thanksgiving procession that generated a stampede of opinions on social media. Its distinguished alumni, including government officials, business leaders, academics, artists, and professionals in different fields, attended the event. The institution has been a gold standard of excellence for a century, producing distinguished alumni who have significantly and meaningfully contributed to the country and beyond. Established in 1925, POW School has a long history of providing top-flight education to students from diverse backgrounds. Rather than producing wooden academics, the School develops well-rounded individuals equipped to take on the challenges of the real world, which is a source of pride and inspiration for the entire community. Over the years, the institution has become a powerhouse that has produced prominent alumni of indomitable brilliance in science, arts, and law who have become leaders in their respective professions. What sets POW School apart from other schools in Sierra Leone is its emphasis on creative thinking and problem-solving.
